LGP internship!!

My life of photography just got 25 times more exciting :) A couple of months ago I heard that a photography company in Toledo was going to be hiring an intern. It has always been one of my goals to intern with a really good photographer--so I applied! I got an email a couple of weeks later saying that they wanted to sit down and chat with me about the possibility of me being their intern. (Needless to say, I was ecstatic about it!) So, this past Sunday I drove down to Starbucks in Toledo and chatted with Joshua and Gregg, the owners of Love is Greater Photography, about everything from the internship to some fun photography stories. I could tell right away that they were two really fun and VERY talented guys. I left Starbucks saying "I want to be their intern SOO badly!" I got a call two days later from Josh asking if I would like to be their intern. I about passed out! I felt so honored that they chose me! I am officially the Love is Greater Photography 2011 intern! This is definitely an answer to prayer for me and I am very thankful for this unique opportunity to learn. I will keep you posted on my life as an intern :)

Christmas time is here...

It's hard to believe that in just one short week it will be Christmas Eve. Oh how time flies! Christmas time is my favorite. It takes my breath away to think of why we celebrate it; Jesus. "I can't help but wonder why, why this king would choose to be, be a baby born for me, be a baby born to die". It's impossible for our minds to fathom this great mystery. It's such a strange way to save the world. Just take a minute to think about it.

I know some people aren't fond of snow, but it happens to be one of my favorite things! In my mind, it reminds be of how Jesus came and washed us clean. It makes the ugliest things beautiful. Plus, it's fun to have snowball fights. My wonderful friend Melisa and I took a little escapade while it was snowing the other day. Here are a couple of pictures from our adventure!

Kelly Lynn

I took these pictures of Kelly a couple of months ago, but forgot to put them up! They were just some more of her senior pictures. And needless to say, she is beautiful!

Emmy

A few days ago I took Emmy's senior photo's at a beautiful park north of town. It was full of all sorts of bridges and we got some great shots :-) Emmy was a lot of fun to take pictures of. She looked so stunning in every single shot! It was hard to get a bad picture of her. Her wonderful personality shines through the pictures. Here are a few of them!

Sarah and Erica {Sisters}

Sarah and Erica are two wonderful friends of mine :) I took their Senior pictures at Hidden Lake Gardens. I know, apparently I like taking pictures there! We had an incredibly fun time. It was a beautiful fall day. It doesn't get much better.

They were both very easy to take pictures of. Maybe because they are so very beautiful and photogenic! :) Here are some of their pictures!

Tis the season for....senior photo's!

I have had the opportunity to do 5 senior photo shoots so far this year. They have been so much fun! The first one was my friend Brianne from Ohio.

I used her camera for this one (identical to mine). So not too much of the credit goes to me. The second shoot was of Travis.

My friend Kelly and I went on a road trip to visit her brother. We asked around to see if anyone had some cool barns to do Kelly's senior pictures at. Turns out, Travis did! I ended doing his senior photo's while we were at it. My 3rd and 4Th shoot was of two very good friends of mine, Brandi and Abby.

I went to a summer camp in June and roomed with Brandi and Abby. Trust me, our friendship did not end after camp! We had the opportunity to meet at Brandi's grandparents lake house about a week ago. While we were there I did a few of their senior pictures.

Lastly, and definitely not least, Kelly.

Kelly and i are periodically going to different locations and getting a good variety of senior pictures for her. So you might see a few more of her than the others :-P

Taking senior pictures is a new area for me. Its proven to be more fun than I thought!! I love the vibrance that all of these seniors have. Check out the senior photo section located on the right. Click on the image to see more.
